01 — A creator’s studio, or a building block

Generate-and-go, or a layer you build on.

Blotato combines AI writing, images and video generation with scheduling and publishing. Its paid plans include API access, and its official integrations include hosted MCP, n8n and Make.

Social Fanout sits one layer down. It doesn’t generate anything — it’s the dependable publish step your product or agent calls once the content exists. One POST /v1/publish fans out to up to 20 targets with a receipt each;1 Blotato’s API posts to one platform per call.

Blotato is a creator’s studio. Social Fanout is a building block.

Both services have API and MCP access. Social Fanout accepts multiple targets in one request and offers self-hosting or hosted white-label by written agreement. Blotato’s documented publish endpoint selects one account and platform; API access requires a paid plan.

03 — What it looks like to use

A recipe to run, or a primitive to call

SOCIAL FANOUT

curl https://socialfanout.com/v1/publish \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "text": "Shipping day", "targets": [ {"platform":"bluesky","accountId":"conn_bluesky"}, {"platform":"threads","accountId":"conn_threads"} ], "dryRun": true }' # private validation · no native post

Replace the example account IDs with your owned connections and keep the key private. This dry run checks routing and plan access without posting. It does not prove provider acceptance. Approve the exact content and accounts before a live request.

If you want the loop handled for you, Blotato’s app and recipes are the appeal. If you’re building the loop yourself, you want a clean primitive that fans out in one request.

04 — When Blotato is the right call

When Blotato fits

B Choose Blotato for this workflow

You want content created for you with AI, polished video publishing, and no-code automations through n8n or Make — without standing up a backend. Social Fanout deliberately doesn’t generate content and isn’t a no-code app; it’s infrastructure. For a solo creator or small agency, Blotato is the more complete out-of-the-box product.

You can create content in another tool, then submit it to Social Fanout when publishing belongs inside your software. Validate the exact connected accounts and inspect each destination’s result before retrying.

Notes & sources

  1. Pricing and feature notes checked September 8, 2026 against Blotato’s pricing, API quickstart, and MCP guide. The free trial excludes API access; paid plans include it. Confirm deployment and white-label terms directly with Blotato. Vendor capabilities and terms can change.

When the content’s ready, publish it like infrastructure.
